Stand Ducted Inclusions include

  • Interconnecting electrical cables
  • Standard round supply grilles
  • One controller per fan coil unit
  • Colourbond trunking to cover external services
  • R1 insulation on all duct work
  • Up to 15-meter refrigerant pipe work
  • One (1) eggcrate return air grille

Recommendations

  1. The outdoor condensing unit must maintain unrestricted air flow around the unit for optimal performance.
  2. The customer must consider the position of the condensing unit and the noise impact on neighbouring property.
  3. Areas affected by extreme cold conditions will need to consider additional heating.
  4. Regular servicing of the system is strongly recommended. Return Air filters should be cleaned quarterly as a minimum.

Conditions

  1. No allowance has been made in this submission for the relocation of the outdoor unit, once installed.
  2. Our submissions are based on 3 visits to site for ducted systems 1. Rough in. 2. Fit out 3. Commission. Hi-Wall split systems will be supplied and fitted with one visit to site.
  3. Builder/Customers will be responsible for all material and components once on site.
  4. This submission is subject to final inspection by the installation team and will remain valid for 30 days from date of submission.
  5. This proposal is offered on Manufacturer’s product and specifications available at the time of submission and is subject to product being available from the manufacturer.
  6. This submission is based on having reasonable and safe access to the site during normal business hours to meet our installation program. This can change due to unforeseen circumstances such as wind and rain on the day of installation
  7. Adequate access and space must be available within the roof space or below the floor to install the air conditioner and associated components.
  8. Access to the Indoor and Outdoor units as well as zone motors and other components must be provided and maintained for future servicing and warranty. Access to all components is the responsibility of the customer / builder.
  9. It is the builders/customer’s responsibility to make good any penetrations required to service any of the air conditioning components.
  10. Warranty does not cover dirty filters, blocked drains, blown fuses or any malfunctions as a result of a fault with other appliances or components other than those that have been serviced or installed by Harvey Norman Commercial Division.
  11. The output of the unit selected is based on the data supplied on manufactures product brochures. Heating output is based on min 7 °C DB. Cooling based on Max 35°C DB in accordance with AS3823.1.2. Output will vary outside these test conditions.
  12. The builder/customer is responsible for complying with local council requirements, development applications, body corporate approvals, and ensuring the site is structurally sound and for any structural changes that are deemed necessary.
  13. Please note that droppers for downstairs air supply may reduce the available space in some wardrobes, and / or corners of rooms
  14. Final positioning of supply air grilles, droppers, & return air grilles, may vary due to access restraints caused by the building structure
  15. This proposal excludes any cost associated for working with or within an area containing asbestos or any other toxic substance and will be modified or voided if discovered on the site.
  16. The quote excludes upgrading of existing switchboard or mains power, if required
  17. Installation cannot begin until a Purchase Order is received with all pages of the quotation prior to Installation.
  18. Verbal variations from this agreement will not be accepted

ANNEXURE A – SPECIAL CONDITIONS (SUPPLY & INSTALL)

1. Tax Invoices & Proof of Delivery

HNCD shall provide auto-generated Tax Invoice(s) to the Customer Accounts Email after each delivery and installation (if applicable).

2. Warranty

HNCD warrants that during the Defects Liability Period, to the maximum extent permissible under the Original Equipment Manufacturer (“OEM”) standard warranty, to repair or replace any defective Goods due to defect in materials and/or workmanship. HNCD further warrants that the Goods supplied as manufactured will be fit and merchantable having regard to the purposes (if any) communicated by the Customer to HNCD at or simultaneously with the placement of the Purchase Order. If no purposes have been communicated, the Goods supplied will be fit and merchantable for their general purposes having regard to the nature of the Goods supplied.

3. Limitation of Warranty

HNCD is not liable to the Customer for any damage or destruction of the Works (including Goods and Materials supplied) caused by:
  • any failure by the Customer (or its authorised Builder) to properly or safely protect the Works against theft or damage after installation by HNCD;
  • any use by the Customer or any other Person of the Goods contrary to their specifications;
  • any act or omission by the Customer or any other Person after delivery and installation by HNCD;
  • any failure to properly maintain, operate or repair the Works/Goods after installation by HNCD.

4. Return of Goods

The Customer may request cancellation or return of Goods, subject to the following:
  • Special Order: Goods manufactured to Customer’s specifications, custom made, or modified to Customer’s requirements, are non-returnable once order is placed by HNCD/manufacturer;
  • Non-Returnable Goods: not returnable under any circumstances once order has been placed;
  • In any event all returns and cancellations shall be at HNCD’s sole discretion.

5. Risk & Title

Title for Goods and Materials supplied by HNCD shall pass to the Customer upon full and cleared payment to HNCD. Risk for and in the Works shall pass from HNCD to the Customer at the completion and handover of the Works.

6. Suspension of Works

For the avoidance of doubt, the Customer has no claim against HNCD for liquidated damages (or otherwise) in the event that HNCD suspends the Works due to:
  • non-payment by the Customer within the payment terms; or
  • if the Customer exceeds its credit limit as outlined under its trading terms.
If the Works is delayed due to suspension by HNCD for non-payment or where the Customer exceeds its credit limit, the Customer shall have no recourse or claim against HNCD (liquidated or otherwise), until such times that the Customer’s credit account has been paid within the payment terms, and the balance is within the Customer’s credit limit.

7. Electronic Signing

The scanned signatures of the parties shall be deemed to constitute original signatures, and scanned copies hereof shall be deemed to constitute duplicate originals.

A signed copy of this Agreement transmitted by email or other means of electronic transmission shall be deemed to have the same legal effect as delivery of an original executed copy of this Agreement for all purposes.

8. Force Majeure

Failure or omission HNCD to carry out or to observe any of the conditions of this Agreement shall not give rise to any claim against HNCD by the Customer, or result in a breach of this Agreement, if such failure or omission arises by reason of delay or inability to perform, caused by war (whether declared or not), insurrections, strikes, inability to obtain materials, fire, storm or other severe action of the elements, accidents, disease, pandemic, government restrictions or for any other causes whether like or unlike the foregoing which are unavoidable or beyond the control of HNCD.

9. Payment for Goods and Materials Ordered

Should the contract or order be terminated by the Customer for convenience, or for any other reasons, other than any direct and substantiated breach by HNCD, the Customer shall remain liable for payment for goods and materials ordered under the Order, which cannot be reasonably cancelled or returned by HNCD, up to and including the date of termination, unless agreed to the contrary in writing by HNCD.
